Kurtis Dam-Mikkelsen

Biography

Ever since I was a little boy, I was always drawn to beauty, in nature, in people, and in things. This inspired me to dream a life beyond my wildest imagination.

While growing up in the country, I was able to discover my talent as an artist. By putting pastel to paper I began to explore color, creation and the emotion of others who observed. It was rewarding to see my family positively affected by my artistic ability, which pushed me to peel back thelayers of myself, envisioning the world outside my farm.

My art was and has always been present, evolution’s essence through many facets. By living as a realist painter, hair stylist, model and art director, I walked along my path establishing inner strength while pursuing my dream and moved to New York. The commitment I had made to this city, guided me to a new form of Beauty, emerging as a Makeup artist. By embracing this opportunity, I discovered the impact of how a person felt from the beautification process. Going beyond the lipstick and foundation, there was a confidence that had emoted from our experience together. What I discovered within myself was the ability to assist in the unveiling of their emotions through this medium.

In turn finding my place in this world to inspire all whom I come into contact with, revealed through paint, my pallet is you and the end result is uniquely radiant between each relationship founded. I am here to show you the beauty I see, through the transformation of makeup artistry.
